In this episode, we meet Diane Martin and Lindsay McIver from industrial rope access company, Ascend Australia, and Nick Hall from motor racing supplies and performance car engineering business, Speedwell Performance. Both businesses have been through difficulties and want to refocus their operations. Ascend has found the window cleaning side of their business too weather dependent and Nick was hospitalised with a serious illness for a month and returned to his business to find that it had ground to a virtual halt in his absence.
In segment 1, Kochie drops in and meets Lindsay, Diane and Nick to find out more about their businesses.
In segment 2, we send in our small business expert, Linda Hailey, to meet with Ascend Australia owners and give them some pointers on finding new clients.
In segment 3, we meet the owners of Brookfarm - a macadamia gourmet products producer and previous joint-winner of the "Telstra Business of the Year" award. Owners Pam and Martin Brook explain how entering and winning the award has benefited their business.
In segment 4, we send in Quickbooks trainer, David Parasol, to show Speedwell Performance owner, Nick Hall, how Quickbooks can improve his business processes, not just his bookkeeping.
