KBBTV Episode 3 - Series 2
In episode 3 of Kochie’s Business Builders TV Series 2, we look at some interesting issues that affect many small and medium-sized business owners: finance, growth, business structure, marketing, and cashflow.
In this episode we meet Michael and Vikki Rowe, the owners of 4 Views, a business that provides an estimating and factory management solution as well as a design and set-out service, to the wood-working industry.
In part 1, we look at the business's finances, so we've sent in our finance expert from Deloitte, Julia Bickerstaff, to have a chat with Michael. They discuss the importance of high staff utilisation, charge out rates and the overall profitability of the business.
In part 2, Julia talks with Michael about pricing and the business structure, and says he needs to make some tough decisions about how he's going to grow the business.
In part 3, our marketing expert Sharon Williams from Taurus Marketing sheds some light on how 4 Views can build their brand awareness. Sharon tells Vikki it's important to keep their branding consistent across all their marketing collateral, and says an e-newsletter is a good opportunity for them to show thought leadership in the industry.
Also in part 3, Matthew Nolan from Provident Cashflow drops by to help Michael and Vikki with 4 Views's cashflow. Matthew gives them some great tips on paying their bills and also collecting customer payments.
In part 4, Matthew advises 4 Views on how to stay on top of the cashflow cycle and Kochie drops by to see how Michael and Vikki went with the "SWAT" team he sent in!
