KBBTV Episode 4 - Series 2
In episode 4, series 2 of Kochie’s Business Builders, we look at some fascinating issues that affect small and medium-sized business owners: protecting your intellectual property, succession planning, the importance of contracts and collecting accurate data for marketing purposes.
In this episode we meet sisters Katie Fisher and Jenny Douneen from Kids First Aid, a business that provides condensed first aid training courses for time poor parents and carers.
In part 1, we look at some of the legal issues facing Katie and Jenny. We’ve sent in our legal expert Tal Williams from Australian Business Lawyers to make sure the business's intellectual property is protected.
In part 2, Tal talks with Jenny and Katie about succession planning and the importance of having a contract in place between themselves. He also discusses the need for contracts with their session coordinators.
In part 3, our online marketing expert David Bradbury from XYZ Direct advises Jenny and Katie about the best way to collect accurate data from their session attendees.
In part 4, David tells the girls they can use that data to encourage referrals and help build their brand. Kochie also drops by to see how the girls got on with our experts.
