In episode 6 series 2, of Kochie’s Business Builders, we look at some interesting issues that affect many small and medium-sized business owners, particularly start up businesses: developing a sales strategy and having a good marketing plan.
In this episode we meet Shannon Harcourt from Little Flamingo, a business that specialises in the creation of invitations and stationery, as well as organising events.
In part 1, small business Expert Linda Hailey talks to Shannon about marketing her business. Linda suggests Shannon becomes more actively involved in networking and to also join a mentoring program.
In part 2, Linda talks to Shannon about how to turn enquiries into appointments and then how to convert those appointments into sales.
In part 3, Shannon talks to sales expert Rob Hartnett from Business Performance International about being more proactive with her sales strategy.
In part 4, Rob talks to Shannon about generating more leads for her business. Rob says it's very important to clarify exactly where every new lead is coming from so Shannon has accurate sales and marketing information to work with.
I also check back in with Shannon to see how she went with the experts and to see what changes she has implemented in her new business.
